Year 5 Olympics and Picnic

Next Monday (18th July), weather permitting, we plan to hold a Year 5 Olympics at the Rosendale playing fields followed by a picnic lunch.

We want to find the fastest boy and girl in Year 5, the best long distance runners, the fastest class relay teams, and the boy and girl who can throw the vortex the furthest.  And last but not least, there’ll be an inter-class tug of war.

Children can come to school dressed in PE kit and should bring a picnic lunch with them.  School pack lunches will be available for anyone who normally has a school lunch.

So, if it will only stop raining….

Trip to Elm Green to see West Side Story

Hi all,

We have also been invited on Wednesday to go to Elm Green School to see their production of West Side Story. As this is a local trip we don’t need you to sign a slip, but if you have any questions, please let me know. We will leave shortly after the register and will be back for lunchtime.

Many thanks

Miss Lezameta

Herne Hill History Walk

A note to parents:

Just a reminder that tomorrow we will be going on a History Walk around Herne Hill as part of our project on the history of the local area.

We will leave after lunch and will return before the end of the day. Please ensure that the children have a coat or jacket in case of bad weather and comfortable shoes for walking.

We’ll post lots of photos on the blog to show you our adventures!
